Mrs. Virginia “Jim” Inman Wampler, age 81, a resident of Cisco, Georgia, formerly of Harriman, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 26, 2026, from her home. She was born April 29, 1945, in South Harriman, Tennessee. “Jim” was a graduate of South Harriman High School and was of the Baptist faith. She was known as a strong-willed woman with a tender heart who liked to do things her way. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ross & Ethel Inman; husband, Donnie Joe Wampler; and siblings, “Sonny” Inman, Janie Burnham, Jean Mitchell, J.C. Inman, Artel Inman, Tom Inman, Brenda Kennedy, Bill Inman, and Faye Parks.
Survivors include:
Children & Spouses: Mark Wampler (Jessica)
Joe Wampler (Diane)
Kim Carroll (Fred)
Grandchildren: Blake Wampler (Jessica), Ashley Wampler, Jalisa Wampler, and Bonita Wampler
Great Grandchildren: Matthew Bailey, Brayden Bailey, Bentley Potter, Elizabeth Potter, and Brayden Potter
Sisters: Lynn Inman Housley (John)
Marge Inman Rue (Mike)
And several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Evans Mortuary. Funeral services will follow on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Evans Mortuary with Bro. Greg Russell officiating. Private interment will be held at a later date in the Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood, Tennessee. Evans Mortuary of Rockwood, Tennessee is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Virginia “Jim” Inman Wampler.
