Theresa Ann Ste Marie

Theresa Ann Ste. Marie, age 92 of Carolina Shores, North Carolina, passed away on Thursday, December 4th, 2025, at the Jamestowne Assisted Living in Kingston, TN. She was born on October 20th, 1933, in New York City. She was a devout Catholic and her faith was important to her. She worked until retirement  as a detective with the NYPD and was one of the first female officers sworn in as a police officer in NYC. She was also a long time member of the Archeological Society of Orange County, New York. She is preceded in death by her parents: Louis & Mary Polesovsky; 5 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by:

Son: John LaFazia (Madeline) of Rockwood, TN

Grandchildren: Anthony Pellitteri, Jennifer LaFazia, and John LaFazia (Diana)

Great Grandchildren: Brianna Pellitteri, Miranda Pellitteri, Kalista LaFazia, Alessia Marie LaFazia

Sister: Rosemary Mazza of Middletown, NY

and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Cremation arrangements have been made and a private interment will be held at a later date. Evans Mortuary is proudly serving the family of Theresa Ann Ste. Marie.
