Shelby Jean Bardill Ellis

Mrs. Shelby Jean Bardill Ellis, age 84 of Rockwood, TN passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2022 in Oak Ridge, TN surrounded by her family. She was born September 29, 1937 to Fred Guss Bardill and Lena Laura Headrick Bardill in Lancing, TN. She was a registered nurse for many years at Harriman Hospital and served in various nursing roles over 5 decades. She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church for many years. She was an avid reader and would get lost in the stories. Shelby was an amazing and nurturing mother to her children and all that she met. She was a caregiver through and through. She will be missed by many, but especially by her family. She is preceded in death by her parents: Fred and Lena Bardill; siblings: Marie “Tootsie” Brown, Faye Griffith, Roy Bardill, Charles Bardill, Joyce Powers, Ronnie Bardill, and Margaret Ruppe; beloved daughter-in-law: Tina D. Rhea; and husband: Brownie Ellis. She is survived by:

The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 10, 2022 from 1:30 pm- 2:30 pm with a service from 2:30 pm- 3:00 pm at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Harriman, TN with Pastor Michael Miller officiating. A graveside service will take place after at Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood, TN.
