Sammy Starr Jr, 71, of Rockwood, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. Sammy was born on Columbus, Ohio, on December 19, 1953. Sammy resided in Columbus, OH, and South Point, OH, before moving to Rockwood, TN, in 2004. Sammy was preceded in death by his parents: Sammy Starr Sr & Christine Starr; 2 brothers: Mance Starr & Thomas Starr. Sammy is survived by:

Brothers: Carlos (Ruth) Starr and Hank Starr

Sister: Billie Sue Hall

Children: Christina (Rico) Mesko, Joey (Christina) Starr, Katherine (Tom) Carpenter, and Janet (Scott) Carpenter

11 Grandsons, 1 granddaughter, 5 great granddaughters, and 1 great grandson

Multiple nieces and nephews

Sammy's cremation will be handled by Evans Mortuary in Rockwood, TN.

Sammy's ashes will be brought to South Point , OH, for a celebration of life at a later date.
