Robert S. Hicks Jr. (Bob)

Mr. Robert S. Hicks, Jr. (Bob), formerly of Rockwood, passed away Friday, January 20, 2023. Born November 18, 1938, in Rockwood, Tennessee. He graduated from the University of Tennessee, Memphis, pharmacy school and came back to Rockwood to operate George’s Pharmacy with his grandfather, Dave L. Smith. He merged with Live & Let Live after Dave’s Passing.

A man of great faith, he was a long time member of the Rockwood Church of Christ where he served as deacon and song leader. After moving to Kingston, Tennessee, he servered as an elder and song leader at the Kingston Church of Christ. He later moved to Bradenton, Florida, and was a member of the 53^rd Ave Church of Christ there. He knew he was going to be in a much better place with the Lord and many family members, including his beloved wife, Phyllis.

He enjoyed hunting of any kind, fishing, collecting guns, digging out his genealogy to find he was Scottish, going to the Highland games, and singing.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Phyllis B. Hicks, father: Robert S. Hicks Sr., MD, grandparents: Dave and Jessie Smith.

Daughters:        Sally (Frank) Peppitoni of Florida

Stephanie (Daniel) Walter of Tennessee

Son:                 David (Heather) Hicks of Texas

2 Grandsons:    Caleb Hicks and Tristan Walter

And several cousins.

Internment of ashes and a gathering of friends will be announced at a later date. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mr. Robert S. Hicks, Jr. (Bob).
