Richard “Ozzy” Shelton, age 51, a resident of Rockwood, Tennessee and formerly of Phoenix, Arizona passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at the Parkwest Medical Center, Knoxville, Tennessee. He was born October 10, 1973, in Morris, Illinois. He was formerly employed at Roane State Community College in Harriman, Tennessee in facilities maintenance and had been previously employed as a Sheet Metal Worker at Bayou Steel in Harriman. He loved NASCAR, watching wrestling and football, and being outdoors. His favorite drivers were Jimmy Johnson (#84) and Joey Logano (#22), and his favorite teams were the Green Bay Packers and the Kansas City Chiefs. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry & Mary, and Robert & Maybelle; and by mother-in-law, Betty Meyers.

Parents: Jim & Vickie Shelton

Brother: Nick Shelton

Father-in-law: Dale Meyers

Stepson: Michael Meyers

Aunts: Joy, Maria, and Sarah

Cousins: Ami and Johnny

And other relatives and friends.

Cremation arrangements have been made, and no formal services are being held. Memorial contributions may be made C/O Evans Mortuary for funeral expenses. Evans Mortuary of Rockwood, Tennessee is honored to serve the family of Richard “Ozzy” Shelton.
