Rev. William "Little Bill" Treadway

Rev. William “Little Bill” Treadway, age 88, a resident of Rockwood, Tennessee went Home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the home of his daughter in Ten Mile, Tennessee with his family by his side. He was born May 28, 1938, in Rockwood, Tennessee. He was a member of the High Ridge Baptist Church in Kingston, Tennessee and had Pastored many area churches over the years. After Pastoring he continued to serve as a Chaplain with Covenant Health at Roane Medical Center. Mr. Treadway was a retired Civil Engineer with the Tennessee Department of Transportation (T.D.O.T.), with many dedicated years of service. This was something that he was very proud of and often while on trips with family, shared what roads that he had helped to build. After his retirement from T.D.O.T. he worked for many years at the Rockwood Post Office, something else that he thoroughly enjoyed, especially conversing with the patrons there. Mr. Treadway was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving on the U.S.S. Valley Forge. When he had opportunity, he also enjoyed golfing. He was preceded in death by his wife Wanda Treadway, father Bill Treadway; mother, Allene Rogers; son, James “Jim” Treadway; great grandson, Dawson Mulkey; and sister, Gail Golliher.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 21, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Evans Mortuary. Funeral services will follow on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Evans Mortuary with Pastor Keith Bailey officiating. Committal services and interment will be held Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood, Tennessee with full military honors by the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard and the U.S. Navy. Evans Mortuary of Rockwood, Tennessee is honored to serve the family of Rev. William “Little Bill” Treadway.
