Renay Crudup

Renay Crudup, age 59, of Kingston, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 28, 2026, surrounded by family and loved ones.

Born on December 8, 1966, in Rockwood, Tennessee, Renay Crudup was the loving daughter of Eudean Crudup, Sr. and Lucille Elaine Crudup. Renay was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Renay's greatest happiness came from her family, especially her twin grandsons. She delighted in spending time with them, celebrating their accomplishments, encouraging their dreams, and filling their lives with love and support. The bond she shared with her grandsons was one of her life's greatest blessings, and the memories they created together will be treasured forever.

Renay was a passionate Pittsburgh Steelers fan who faithfully followed her team season after season. Whether watching a game, discussing football with family and friends, or proudly supporting the Steelers, her enthusiasm for the team was unmistakable.

A woman of unwavering faith, Renay was a devoted member of Oak Ridge Family Bible Church. She remained active in her church community by regularly participating in online Bible studies and Sunday morning worship services. Her faith was the foundation of her life, providing strength, guidance, and comfort that she shared generously with others.

Following the closure of the Harriman Roane Hosiery Mill, Renay began her career with Chase, where she worked for more than twenty years. Through her dedication, dependability, and strong work ethic, she advanced to the position of Lead Picker. She was respected by her coworkers and supervisors alike for her leadership, commitment, and willingness to help others.

Renay was preceded in death by her loving parents, Eudean Crudup, Sr. and Lucille Elaine Crudup, and the love of her life, Charles Steven Norman.

Renay is survived by her son, Joseph Michael Crudup and his partner Ryan Soto, her daughter, Stephanie Rose Easley, and son-in-law, Bryan Easley; her twin grandsons, Rowyn and Rylie; her brother, Eudean Crudup, Jr.; her sisters, Christine Crudup, Seressa Thomas and husband Tyrone Thomas, Michelle Crudup, and Robbie Gorsuch and husband Chris Gorsuch, Sr.; as well as many other loving relatives and friends.

Renay also leaves to cherish her memory her nieces, Taniesha (Glenn) Dvorak, Takira (Sidney) Williams, Shakara Crudup, Aleigha Spaulding and Gabriela Chatman and nephews, Tabrin Thomas, Tyree Thomas and Christopher Gorsuch, Jr.

Renay will be remembered for her unwavering faith, devotion to her family, hardworking spirit, and kind heart. Her life was a blessing to all who knew her, and her memory will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.

Renay was deeply loved by her family. The memories, laughter, and love she shared will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Although our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that her earthly suffering has ended and that she is now resting in the loving arms of the Lord.

The family will receive friends on September 1, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. EDT with a celebration of life to follow in the chapel of Evans Mortuary in Rockwood, Tennessee. Pastor Robert May and JoAnn May of Oak Ridge Family Bible Church in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, will officiate the service. Following the service, Renay will be cremated in accordance with her wishes and those of her family. The family will announce details of any memorial gathering at a later date.
