Racine Blake, age 84, of Rockwood, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of her family. She was born June 3, 1942, in Greeneville, Tennessee.
Racine was born to the late Orbin Franklin Brown and Mildred Creola Massey Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Nathan “Bill” Blake, and her siblings, Lynn Brown, Sandra McKean, and Terry Brown.
She is survived by her sister, Penny Butler; sister-in-law Linda Godsey Lennon; her daughters, Mandy Evans (Aaron) and Stacie Brackett (Larry); and her cherished grandchildren, Kelsey Webster (Cameron), Shelbey Corbin (Trevor), Nate Brackett (Macey), Carson Grant (Hunter), Camryn Frierson (Jay), Gavin Evans (Kailey), Braylee Brackett, and Kayven Brackett.
She was also blessed with four great-grandchildren (and another on the way) who brought her endless joy: Mattie Webster, Kash Webster, Kolt Webster, Declan Corbin, and Baby Grant.
Racine was a graduate of Harriman High School and attended East Tennessee State University. She dedicated many years of service to the State of Tennessee Job Service, where she built a career helping others before retiring.
Above all else, Racine treasured her family. She found her greatest happiness spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, especially cheering them on from the stands at countless ballgames. She was one of their biggest supporters and rarely missed an opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments. A lifelong fan of the Rockwood Tigers, she loved her hometown and took great pride in supporting the community she called home.
Anyone that knew Racine knows that she never let anyone leave her home hungry. Whether family, friends, neighbors, teammates, or anyone who happened to stop by, she always had something to eat ready and loved preparing snacks for everyone who gathered at her home—especially on game days. Her home was a place of laughter, fellowship, and full hearts, and everyone knew they were always welcome.
Her kindness, generous heart, unwavering love for her family, and faithful encouragement will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends will meet on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Rockwood, Tennessee for Graveside services and interment with Bro. Kendall Bear officiating.
