Nancy Joyce Geraci

Nancy Joyce (DeRossett) Geraci passed away January 4, 2025 at the Cumberland House Hospice facility at the age of 74 after a lengthy illness. 

As a teenager Nancy was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis which affected her the rest of her life. Even with the debilitating affects on her joints and 20 surgeries over many years she kept living her life as best she could. With her twisted and crooked hands it was amazing to see her perform tasks evey day that most of us take for granted, like opening bottles or making crafts. She was one of the toughest people you could ever meet to endure this pain and disruption for over 50 years as she did, without complaining.

Nancy loved her family very much and enjoyed holidays and other get-togethers. She liked to take casino trips with friends or family members. In her later years her favorite activity was sitting on her back porch with a cup of coffee watching deer and birds in her backyard.

She was preceded in death by:

Husband – Frank Geraci

Parents – Vernon and Marguerite DeRossett

She is survived by:

Sister – Susan Williams

Brother and sister-in-law - Mike and Martha DeRossett

Brother and sister-in-law - Steve and Evelyn DeRossett

Brother and sister-in-law - Andy and Denise DeRossett

A host of nieces and nephews, many of them knew her as Aunt Nan.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Dogwood Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 32 Old Gordon Rd, Grandview, TN 37337.

Her family will receive friends at Dogwood Baptist Church in the Dogwood community of Cumberland County on Saturday January 18, 2025 at 1:00 PM Eastern time, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Nancy Joyce Geraci.
