Myrtle Reed

Myrtle Reed, age 94 of Rockwood, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. She was born on September 10, 1931, in Rockwood. Myrtle loved to talk on the phone with her family and friends and enjoyed listening to gospel music. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Spring City, TN, and also attended Glen Alice Christian Church. She is preceded in death by her husband: Charles "Charlie" Reed; grandson: Jason Monroe; granddaughter: Jill Monroe Clark; great-grandson: Dalton Burgess; great granddaughter: Mikayla Monroe; parents: Willie Reed & Bessie Reed. She is survived by:

Daughters: Charlene Cochran (Butch), Darlene Whitaker (Jeff), and Marlene Monroe (Allen)

Grandchildren: Julie Worley, Heather Dobbs (Jason), Samantha Haley Gaynor, Tyler Gaynor

Great Grandchildren: Chandler Worley (Ashlyn), Finn & Max Dobbs

Great Great Grandchild: Madison Worley

Special Friends: Mickey Smith & Linda Barger

Family and friends will meet in the Glen Alice Cemetery in Rockwood on Wednesday, November 5th, 2025, at 2:00 pm ET for a graveside service with chaplain Bruce K. Foster officiating. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Myrtle Reed.
