Mrs. Sue Burnette Smith, age 84 of Nashville, Tennessee formerly of Rockwood, Tennessee passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born December 15, 1936 in Rockwood, TN. Sue was of the Methodist Faith and active Girl Scout Leader for many years. She was an avid reader, bowler and loved Birds and all animals. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leland and Callie Teague Burnette.

Survivors Include:

Husband of 64 Years:       Preston “Putt” Smith of Nashville, TN.
Daughters:                          Susan s. McNelly (Steve) of Birchwood, TN.
                                               Stacey J. Smith of Shelbyville, TN.
                                              Shelley S. Meadows of Gallatin, TN.
3 Grandchildren:              Stephen McNelly (Bethani)
                                              Andrew Meadows (Kasey)
                           Alec Meadows
2 Great-Grandchildren: Georgia Reese and Hunter McNelly

Family and friends will meet Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 12:00 noon in the Oak Grove Cemetery for a graveside service with Pastor Sam Landrith officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 1466 Riverside Dr. #D, Chattanooga, TN. 37406. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mrs. Sue Burnette Smith.
