Mrs. Barbara Joan Cates

Mrs. Barbara Joan Cates, age 84 of Rockwood, passed away on Thursday, August 22^nd, 2019 at her home. She was born on September 16^th, 1934 in Chattanooga, TN. Mrs. Cates was a member of First Baptist Church in Rockwood. She is preceded in death by her parents; Samuel Hughes & Ruby Lee Bean; husband: Darrel Cates Sr.; and 2 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by:

Several nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family members.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 24^th at Evans Mortuary from 5:00-7:00pm. Funeral service will follow at 7:00pm with Pastor Marty Shadoan officiating. Graveside and interment service will be on Sunday, August 25^th at 2:30pm in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood, TN with Pastor Marty Shadoan and Rev. Charles Kelly officiating.
