Mr. James “Jimmy” East, age 78 of Spotsylvania, Virginia passed away on Friday, May 3, 2019 at Mary Washington Hospital, Fredericksburg, Virginia. James was a Lineman & Foreman for C.W. Wright Construction & Van Meter Construction Company, and Low Boy Operator with Shirley Construction. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Oliver East & Lucille (Babe) East; brother, Robert (Bob) Dean. Survivors include Wife: Helen East of Spotsylvania, VA Son: Donnie Eugene East of Spotsylvania, VA Daughter: Freda Ann Dodd of Spotsylvania, VA Son: Lawrence East of Spotsylvania, VA Son: Jimmy East of Spotsylvania, VA 10 Grandchildren 7 Great Grandchildren Brothers: Benny East (Ada) of Rockwood, TN David East (Linda) of Rockwood, TN Sisters: Mary Stolz of Warsaw, VA Jean Meredith of Kingston, TN Elizabeth Shelton of Kingston, TN Host of nieces & Nephews The family will receive friends at Evans Mortuary on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 5:00-7:00pm. The Funeral Service will follow from the Chapel at 7:00pm with Rev. Larry Tilley officiating. Interment and Burial will be Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 11:00am in Glen Alice Cemetery.
