Mildred Geraldine Wallick

Ms. Mildred Geraldine “Jerry” Wallick, a lifelong resident of Rockwood, Tennessee passed away Thursday, June 4, 2026, at the Parkwest Medical Center, Knoxville, Tennessee. She exemplified a life of service. She was a lifetime member of the First Presbyterian Church in Rockwood where she was considered a Pillar. She served many years as Organist, Pianist and Financial Officer, following in the footsteps of her father who served as a financial officer before her. She was an ordained Elder and served on the Session many times. She was actively involved in the Presbyterian Women where she served as local Bible Study Leader and Treasurer. She was presented with a lifetime membership in the Presbyterian Women of the Presbytery of East Tennessee.

Properly considered the Matriarch of Rockwood High School, Ms. Wallick served as Secretary and Bookkeeper for over 40 years. She considered the students there as her own and actively knew what was going on in their lives during their school years and beyond. She was there for over three generations of students. She knew all of the connections that people had and always kept pace with the happenings of the community.

She was an active member of the Business and Professional Women (B&PW) of Rockwood and held several leadership roles at both the local and state levels. She will be remembered for her fundraising with the B&PW birthday calendar sales. She was an avid University of Tennessee Vols Football fan and a Lady Vols Basketball fan, holding season tickets and regularly attending games for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard & Ola Wallick.

The family will receive friends Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church; 429 W. Rockwood Street; Rockwood, TN 37854. Funeral services will follow on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. with Dr. Chris Metcalfe officiating. Family and friends will meet at Evans Mortuary at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026, to line up and go in procession for the graveside and committal service at 11:00 a.m. in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Rockwood.
