Mike said his mission in life, given to him by God, was to feed children and supply their need when at all possible. He loved children of all ages and sizes. He could not stand the thought of a child going to bed hungry. He volunteered at the First Baptist Church every Wednesday evening to help feed the kids and adults. He volunteered at "Kids Cafe" every Monday night to feed the children of the county. He also volunteered at Bowers Elementary School on Fridays to hand out meals to children. Our neighborhood children meant the world to him. A special bond was formed between them. He especially loved the Mendoza children: Elana, Jeremiah, Rueben, and Isaac. You couldn't ask for any children better than them. And Jordan Duncan was right there with them. A special word for these children. "Mike loved you and is still watching over you from heaven above".
In lieu of flowers please make donations to Marine Corp Toys for Tots or St. Judes Hospital in memory of Mike.
