Mary Lou Kindred

Mrs. Mary Lou Kindred age 81, of Westel, Tennessee passe away on November 9th, 2024, at Cumberland Medical Center. Mary was a member of Westel Baptist Church and sang in the choir. She was very proud of being the first women in Cumberland County to bowl a 300. Mary spent many years working at Mac’s Grocery in Crab Orchard. She was very fond of her dog Lucy and loved being a wife, mother, and Nana. She is preceded by her parents Allen and Margie Hayes; son, David Lawson; brothers, Bobby Hayes, Leanord Hayes, Earl Hayes; sister, Opal Hayes. 

Survivors include: 

Husband: Wayne Kindred of Westel, TN

Daughter: Mindy (Richard) Hoefler of Crossville, TN

Son: Curt (Rhoda) Kindred of Westel, TN 

Grandchildren: Sam Lawson, Koreena Lawson

Great-Grandchildren: Lela, Ava, and Archie

Sisters: Emma Eldrige and Louise Stricklan 

A host of nieces and nephews. 

The family is honoring her wishes of cremation. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, November 13th, 2024, from 11:30-12:30 CST at Pine Grove Church of God, 1171 Lawson Road Crossville, TN 38571. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mary Lou Kindred.
