Margaret Elaine Samples

Elaine, age 76 of Cleveland, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 14, 2026.

Born in Rockwood, TN on March 5,1950 to Sterling and Gladys Miller, Elaine lived a life deeply rooted in her Christian faith. Good-natured and kindhearted, she lived her faith through her love and service to others. Elaine had a special place in her heart for The Caring Place in Cleveland, where she began volunteering with their Sac Pac Program in 2012. She faithfully contributed more than 1,000 service hours helping provide food to children in need and combat food insecurity in her community.

Elaine is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ron Samples of Cleveland; son, Jarrett Samples of Cleveland; granddaughter Brittany (Samples) Cupp of Knoxville; grandson Wade Samples of Knoxville; brother Bobby (Ratchet) Miller of Rockwood and very special friend Rebecca Thompson-Stanfield

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sterling and Gladys; sister, Janice; brothers Bill and Larry- all of Rockwood.

There will be no formal services at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be given to The Caring Place of Cleveland, TN.

Elaine leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith, kindness and service. She will be deeply missed here, but those who loved her can find comfort in knowing that the faith she lived throughout her life has now become sight.
