Kay Oakes Harback

Mrs. Kay Oakes Harback, age 74, a resident of Harriman, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at the Methodist Medical Center, Oak Ridge, Tennessee. She was born August 26, 1951, in Rockwood, Tennessee. Mrs. Harback was a member of the Trenton Street Baptist Church in Harriman, Tennessee. She was the former Bookkeeper and Co-Owner and Operator of Eddie’s Body Shop and Roane Street Grill, both in Harriman. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, knitting, working crossword puzzles, and caring for her five Great Pyrenees Dogs. She also enjoyed canning, pickling, working in her flowers, and watching old Westerns. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn & Mildred Oakes; brother, Glenn “Wayne” Oakes, and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward & Mary Harback.

Jimmy Collier of Harriman, TN

And several other relatives and friends.

Family and friends will meet on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood, Tennessee for Graveside services and interment with Pastor Wayne Nelson officiating.
