Joyce Renee Toomey

Joyce Renee Toomey, age 52, of Dayton, Tennessee passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021 at UT Medical Center. She was born in Painesville, Ohio and became an Adult Education Teacher in the Spring City school system to assist adults with acquiring their GED. She was a member of Morgan Springs Baptist Church in Dayton, Tennessee. She is preceded in death by her grandparents: Edmund and Violet Toomey; father: Gary Toomey; sister: Jennifer “Jenny” Toomey; and uncles: Jackie and Paul Taylor; grandparents: Harvey and Adith Taylor. She is survived by:

Son: Logan Toomey of Dayton, Tennessee

Mother: Joyce R. Massey of Knoxville, Tennessee

Sister: Becky (William) Walker of Dayton, Tennessee

Brother: Gary (Stephanie) Toomey of Dayton, Tennessee

Several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Evans Mortuary. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, April 28^th, 2021 at 11:00 am with Rev. Jerry Vanwinkle officiating. Graveside and interment service will follow in the Brown Cemetery in Dayton, TN. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Joyce Renee Toomey.
