Jerry Henery Lunsford Jr.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Dad Jerry who passed away peacefully on August 3, 2026 at Parkwest Medical Center, Surrounded by his family. Jerry was born on July 20, 1969 in Memphis, TN to his parents Jerry H. Lunsford Sr. and Helen Louise Flynn. 

Jerry was a loving husband and Dad for the time he was with us. He grew up in Harriman, TN. Since he could walk he worked along side his cousin John Lunsford with Lunsford Masonry and even laid some of the stone at Riverfront Park. As a young man he boxed and won several trophies in the sport. He loved it. He also worked at Bayou Stell for years. Jerry was an advocate and lover of our Tennessee Vols. Jerry went to church at Edgewood Baptist off Gallaher Rd in Kingston where will hold a celebration of life at a later date. 

Jerry is preceded in death by his dad, Jerry H. Lunsford Sr., his wife Wilma Dean Currier Lunsford, his aunt Helen Lunsford, His two sisters Malissa Gayle Peters and Anita Hazel Waldrop, and his great grandson Carter Edward Beard. 

Jerry survivors include, his two sisters Dana Sieber of Harriman and Cathy Godsey of Rockwood, a brother James Ernest Lunsford of Rockwood, Children April Joy Beard of Rockwood, Darrell B. Griffin of Rockwood, Lora Dene Hyett of Oakdale, Nakema Dawn Denny of Rockwood, and 12 grandchildren, and a slew of great grandchildren, nieces, and cousins.

Cremation arrangements have been made and the family will hold a service at a later date. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Jerry H. Lunsford Jr.
