Mrs. J. Ferne (Parkey) Johnson-Oddo, age 90, a resident of Crossville, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025, at her home with her family by her side. She was born September 10, 1934, in Mulberry Gap in Hancock County, Tennessee. Mrs. Johnson-Oddo was a member of the Intercontinental Church of God. She drove a school bus for approximately 40 years with the Roane County Board of Education, the Cumberland County Board of Education, and the Sumner County Board of Education, where she retired. She enjoyed traveling and flower gardening. Ferne was a military wife, who deeply loved her roots and her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene M. Johnson; parents, Beason & Hallie Parkey; son, David P. Johnson; and brothers and sisters, Andy Parkey, Van “Jack” Parkey, Calloway Parkey, Stanley Parkey, Roy “Bud” Parkey, and Helen Parkey.

Sons: Johnny Mathew Johnson (Jackie)
Chuck Johnson (Michelle)
Jared E. Johnson
Grandchildren: Caleb Johnson, Derek Johnson, Keilah Johnson, Elijah Johnson, Benjamin Like (Madison), and Andrew Like
Great Grandchildren: Oakley Like, Gavin Johnson, Brantley Johnson, Jonah Johnson, Jasmine Hale, and Jax Rupinski
And several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends Friday, September 5, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. (E.D.T.) until 2:00 p.m. (E.D.T.) at the Evans Mortuary. Funeral services will follow on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. (E.D.T.) from the Chapel of Evans Mortuary.
