Evelyn Lois Mccuistion

Mrs. Evelyn Lois McCuistion, age 87 of Rockwood, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday November 18, 2021. She was born on December 14^th, 1933, in Harriman, TN. Evelyn graduated from Oakdale High School in 1951. She was a lifelong member of the Whites Creek Baptist church in Rockwood and also a member of the Eastern Star, Chapter 382 of Rockwood. Evelyn was of Cherokee decent and a member of the Cherokee Nation.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years; William A. McCuistion; parents; Clarence and Nellie Brown; sisters; Ada Brown Northern and Elizabeth Brown Bryant, and brothers; James Brown and John Brown, nephew; Chris Brown.

She is survived by: 2 sons; Steve McCuistion and Ronald McCuistion, daughter; Rebecca Rudder, brother; Robert Brown, sisters; Louise Brown Register and Mary Brown Hart.

She was a devoted Wife, Mother, and was proud to be called “Nana” by her grandchildren, 3 granddaughters; Amy Altum, Crystal Hill, and Jessica Fledderjohann, 2 grandsons; Andrew McCuistion, and Jason Rudder, and 6 great-grand kids. Numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 22^nd, 2021, from 1:00-2:00 pm ET at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood, TN. Graveside and interment service will follow in the Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mrs. Evelyn Lois McCusition.
