Eleanor Jean Webb, known to all who loved her simply as Jean, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2026, in Franklin, Tennessee, at the age of 95.

Jean was born January 5, 1931, in Harriman, Tennessee, to Albert and Ellen Adkisson. Harriman remained her home for more than seventy years, and she carried its warmth and steadiness with her throughout her life.

Above all, Jean was a devoted Christian who placed her faith at the center of everything she did. She was a faithful member of the Lawnville Church of Christ, and her quiet, steadfast belief shaped the way she loved her family, served others, and met life's joys and sorrows.

Jean's working life was one of devoted service. She was employed at the K-25 Plant in Oak Ridge and later at Harriman Hospital, where she worked until her retirement. For the past four years, she made her home at Charter Senior Living in Franklin, close to her son and his family, who treasured the time they shared with her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Ellen Adkisson; her husbands, William Guy Button and John Webb; her brother, Tommy Adkisson; and her sisters, Jane Reed and Doris June Howard.

She is survived by her son, Randy Button, and his wife, Kim; her grandchildren, Courtney Button and her husband, Chris Phillips, Lindsey Button, and Adam Button; her stepdaughter, Wanda Biles; and many nieces, nephews, and their children.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 2:00 pm Eastern Time at Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood, Tennessee.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Lawnville Church of Christ.
