Eberhard Michael “Hardy” Holthausen, age 66, a resident of Oak Ridge, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at his home. He was born September 12, 1959, in Düren, Blumenthalstraße, Germany. He enjoyed computers and was an Information Technology (I.T.) Technician for the Oak Ridge City Schools for 20 years, where he thoroughly enjoyed his work. He loved music and playing the guitar and singing Karaoke. Hardy loved to gather with family and friends and was always known as “the life of the party” because there was never a dull moment around him. He used to play Soccer, enjoyed watching Formula 1 Racing, and driving his Mazda Miata. He was a very loving Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Uncle, and Friend. He had the biggest heart and took pride in his home, always making sure that it was a warm and welcoming place for family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Friedrich Holthausen; sister, Gabriele Schumbrinck; and brother, Volker Richter.
