Donald Ray Knight

Mr. Donald Ray Knight, age 72, of Rockwood, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025. He was born on December 24, 1952 to Ralph Knight and Ruth Bowman in Norfolk Virginia and he moved to Rockwood, Tennessee from southern California in 1968. Donald graduated from Rockwood High School and was a pretty good football player. He attended MTSU and became a carpenter for his niche in life. Ray was a simple man who enjoyed visiting friends and family. He loved watching football, writing short stories, and spontaneous road trips just to be able to take the scenic route. Ray will be deeply missed and loved by all of his friends and family. He is preceded in death by his parents: Stacy Thomas (Ruth); Ralph Knight. He is survived by:

Son: Travis Knight (Tamary) of Kingston, TN

Previous Wife: Melody Knight of Rockwood, TN

Step son: Noel Peters (Jennifer) of Rockwood, TN

Grandchildren: Sam, Jack, Trey, and Sabrina

Great grandson: Jaxon

Brother: Mike Knight of Rockwood, TN

Nieces: Sam and Lynette

Nephew: Matt

Special Cousin: Ruth Ann of Florida.

The family will receive friends at Evans Mortuary on Friday, November  21, 2025 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm with a service to follow with Bruce Foster officiating. Interment service will take place after the service at Oak Grove Cemetery, Rockwood, TN. Evans Mortuary is honored to serve the family of Mr. Donald Ray Knight.
