Dixie Lee Wyatt Hill, age 88, of Rockwood, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Aug 03, 2025. She was born July 11, 1937, in Roane County, the daughter of the late Martin Wyatt and the late Nannie V. Schubert Wyatt Gang.
Dixie was preceded in death by her husband, John E Hill Jr., and her son, John E Hill III.; Charles Gang, stepfather; one brother; Sam Wyatt; one sister-in-law, Helga Wyatt; one sister, Jenny McCuistion; one brother-n-law, Ford McCuistion and one granddaughter, April Hill Armes.
She was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church of Midtown and, before her retirement, owned Dixie's restaurant in Harriman. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, and spending time with her family, especially lunch after Church on Sundays.
Four sons and three daughters-in-law survive Dixie, Gary Hill (Debbie) of Midtown, Ricky Hill of Midtown, Marty Hill (Lesha) of Rockwood, and Artie Hill (Debby) of Knoxville; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and one sister-best friend, Margaret Moulton of Knoxville. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 6th, 2025, from 12:00-2:00 pm ET at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood. Graveside and interment services will follow with Rev. Gary Lynn officiating in the Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood, TN. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Dixie Lee Wyatt Hill
