David Scott Kirkland, age 53 of Rockwood, passed away on Friday, July 31st, 2026. He was born on October 5th, 1972. He worked as a welder here locally in Harriman. He was also an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish, hunt, and go camping. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He had been attending Valley View Baptist Church in Harriman where he gave his heart to the Lord and was saved. He is preceded in death by his father: John David Kirkland; and his sister: Tammy Darlene Gill. He is survived by:

Children: Scotty (Cassie) Kirkland of Ten Mile, TN

Allie (Sam) Crawford of Crossville, TN

Tanner Kirkland of Crossville, TN

Johnathan

James

Grandchildren: Brayson Crawford, Adalynn Crawford, Harper Kirkland, and Mason Kirkland

Brother: Gary (Pam) Kirkland of Ozone, TN

Nephew: Chris (Heather) Ledbetter

and many other special nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 6th, 2026, from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm ET at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood. Graveside and interment services will follow in the Daysville Cemetery in Rockwood, TN, with Pastor John Johnson officiating. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mr. David Scott Kirkland.
