Columbus Marable Jr

Columbus Marable Jr., age 92, of Oak Ridge, was born in Gadsden, Alabama. He entered the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, May 31, 2025. He was a member of Spurgeon Chapel of Oak Ridge, where he was on the board of trustees. He was a graduate of Campbell High School. Columbus retired from Y-12 as a chemical operator. He was a Tennessee Volunteer fan.

Columbus was preceded in death by his wife, Almeda Marable, brother Tommy O. Marable, and sister-in law, Hatti Marable.

His sister, Lenadora Marable, nieces Betty Jane Johnson and Priscilla Marable, and a host of great-nieces and nephews are left to cherish his memory.

Graveside and interment services will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 2:00 pm ET in the Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood, TN. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mr. Columbus Marable Jr.
