Charles Edward Gouge

Mr. Charles Edward Gouge, age 79 of Harriman, TN, passed away on Saturday, September 18^th, 2021, surrounded by his family at home. He was born on July 11^th, 1942, in Rockwood, TN. He loved to golf and was always full of life, smiling every time you saw him because he always had something good to say. He loved to help anyone in need. Mr. Gouge was a legend in the RC Racing community around the southeast, especially in Harriman where he spent a lot of his time. He traveled to several states to compete and help out at numerous events. He was also the owner of the original Caney Creek Campground. He is preceded in death by his mother: Ethel Willett; and father: Ed Gouge. He is survived by:

Granddaughter:         Maggie Beaver of Harriman, TN

Sister:                         Neda Mitchell (Rick) of Rocky Face, GA

Nephews:                   Jon Mitchell of Tunnel Hill, GA

Jody Mitchell of Bullhead City, AZ

And his special nurse for many years, Kayla Adkins

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 21^st, 2021, from 5:00-7:00 pm in the chapel of Evans Mortuary in Rockwood, TN. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Kyle Beverly officiating. Cremation arrangements have been made and a private interment will be held at a later date. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mr. Charles Edward Gouge.
