Mr. Charles Earl Gaddis, a resident of Rockwood, Tennessee died at his home on December 8, 2020 after an extensive fight with multiple cancers. He was born April 10, 1944 to Charlie Joseph Gaddis and Jessie Blanche Galyon Gaddis. He grew up, went to school, and worked in Roane County except for two years in the Army after he was drafted in 1965. He worked for the local CO-OP for 46 ½ years. He really enjoyed talking to and trying to help all the friends he made during these years and missed them very much when he retired. He was a farmer all his life and loved to work with his tractor, the cattle, and his garden.

Charles is survived by his wife of 52 years Mary Lee Ellison Gaddis; his daughter, Lee Ann Gaddis; 3 sisters, Bettie Sue Moore, Ada Mae East and brother-in-law, Benny East; and Margie Jane Crabtree. Sisters-in-law, Judy Marie Ellison and Linda Kay Ellison; Cousins, Roy Galyon, Buck Edwards, and Francis Russell; and numerous nieces, nephews, other cousins, as will as many friends and neighbors.

Family and friends will meet for graveside services and interment on Friday, December 11, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. in the Roane Memorial Gardens with Bruce Foster officiating. An online register is available at www.evansmortuary.biz. Evans Mortuary of Rockwood, Tennessee is serving the family of Mr. Charles Earl Gaddis.
