On July 31, 2025, at 10:30 p.m. Arlene J. Goins answered the call of God and finished her race here on earth. She was born July 23, 1939, to the union of Henry and Macie Goins. She is preceded in death by parents Henry Goins and Macie Goins; her daughter Melissa Wright-Anderson, granddaughters; Brittney Kay Wright-Fritts, and Chasity Wright. Brothers: Rev. Calvin Goins (Annie Mae), David Goins, Freemon Goins, and Van Charles Goins. Sister: Carlene Goins. Arlene was retired from the Hosiery Industry from Roane County. She was a member of the Bazeltown Baptist Church. She loved fishing, playing her instruments, cooking for her family and friends on Sunday, working in her garden, going to yard sales with her sisters, raising her animals, and sitting on her back porch enjoying company. She never met a stranger and if you came to her house, you became an instant family member. She was a sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, but most of all she was he best mother and grandmother anyone could ask for. To those who love her she is leaving unforgettable memories; (you are unforgettable). There are so many people to name that she impacted in this life please know she loved you as much as you did her. She leaves to cherish her memories; her daughter Marcia D. Wilkerson (Arnold), her sons: Maurice, William, and Britt Wright. One Goddaughter: Melinda S. Bertra. Seventeen grandchildren: Daniel (Jamie), Amelia, Natasha, Little Maurice, Shadon, Brianna, Tyler, Whitney, India, Itaiyah, Mnasia (Jacob), Seth (Melea), Arlena, Adrienne, Silad, and bonus grandsons Ty and TJ (Emily) Phipps. She has a host of great grandkids and great-great grandkids. Two sisters: Marilyn Johnson (Willie) and Lonetta Goins. One sister in law: Thelma Goins. A host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Special Cousins: Garland Johnson and Tina Boyd. Special Friends: Deb, Shelly, Jerome, and Jimmie
The family would like to say thank you for all acts of kindness and love shown during this time of sorrow. Whatever the part was big or small your thoughtfulness will always be remembered.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 9th, 2025, from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm ET at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm ET with Rev. Denard Bertram officiating. Graveside and interment services will follow in the Bazeltown Cemetery in Harriman, TN. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mrs. Arlene Jeanette Goins.
