Alma Ruth Cozart

Ms. Alma Ruth Cozart, age 77, a resident of Harriman, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Diversicare of Oak Ridge, Tennessee. She was born January 10, 1949, in Harriman, Tennessee. She was longtime member of the Williams Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in Harriman. Alma was a retired Textile Worker with Alba Health in Rockwood. Most of all, she was a loving Mother and Grandmother. She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Cozart, Sr.; mother, Gertrude E. League; and siblings, Minnie Sue Cozart, Jo Ann Dawson, Leroy McCray, and Jeanette Myers.

And a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. at the Evans Mortuary. Funeral services will follow on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Evans Mortuary with Rev. Beatrice Thomas officiating and Elder Leander Blackmon eulogizing. Committal services and interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood, Tennessee. Evans Mortuary of Rockwood, Tennessee is serving the family of Ms. Alma Ruth Cozart.
