Mrs. Betty S. “Betty-Boop” Young, age 69, a resident of N. Front Avenue, Rockwood, TN passed away Sunday, December 23, 2007 at the home of her daughter in Rockwood. She was born December 31, 1937 in Chattanooga, TN. Mrs. Young was a member of the Rockwood Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul & Ada Perkins; husband, Junior Young; brothers, Paul Perkins, James Perkins, and Bill Perkins; and sisters, Imogene Treadway, Doris Stoner, and Mary Lou Perkins.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at 8:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Evans Mortuary with Bro. Albert Griffin officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held Thursday, December 27, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 26, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Evans Mortuary.

The family will receive friends Saturday, December 22, 2007 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. EST at Evans Mortuary followed by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Kara Kleinschmidt officiating. Graveside service will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood.
