Evans Mortuary is a family-owned and operated funeral home located in Rockwood, Tennessee. We have served many families in and around Roane County for over 30 years. Our commitment  is to provide caring, professional, quality service and assistance in funeral planning to those families we serve. It has been our tradition to offer our best in comfort, competent and caring service to each family during the loss of a loved one.       

Evans Mortuary was established in 1976 by Thomas R. Evans, Jr. Prior to opening his business, he worked for Booth Funeral Home in Rockwood. While there, he developed an interest in the funeral industry and went on to attend John A. Gupton College in Nashville and graduated in 1970. Later, he purchased the property on Gateway Avenue, built a small facility and opened his own business in November 1976. Some additional duties he had were serving as county coroner from 1974 to 1978 and providing a convalescent ambulance service until 1983. Over the years, Evans Mortuary has earned the trust of the community in meeting families’ needs during times of grief.

Conveniently located on Gateway Avenue in Rockwood, our facilities feature ample parking, lobby, Chapel,  and a building designed to provide an atmosphere suitable for the gathering of family and friends.
